First off, my official qualifications, documents that are meant to bring you confidence in my ability to handle an emergency situation if it were to ever were to occur.

I took an EMT-Basic course in the fall of 2018 at New Mexico State University - Alamogordo and successfully passed and received my certification of completion. I learned a lot from the course and have huge respect for EMT’s in the field.

Below is my NREM EMT-Basic Certification test results. The Proof. And sadly, I did not pass. I did not retake because I changed my mind on becoming an EMT. The knowledge and experience gained from the course gives me confidence in my ability to react and provide care in case of a medical emergency were to happen, wherever I’m at.

I also took a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course offered from NOLS. Intending to further my knowledge of emergency medical care, but specifically in the wilderness setting. The course lasted one week, 8 hours a day, and was very, very beneficial for my position as a trail guide.
